Shipping Options
UPS and FedEx are used for smaller/lighter items which meet size and weight limitations. For an additional charge, we can arrange to expedite these shipments.
Standard motor freight is used for larger/heavier items. You will receive notification prior to the curbside delivery of your furniture. You must be home to accept delivery and move your furniture from the curb into the home.
Free shipping is to destinations in the lower 48 states. UPS/FedEx for items which meet size and weight limitations. Nearest trucking terminal for larger/heavier items. You will receive notification prior to the terminal delivery. You must provide transportation from terminal to your location.
IMPORTANT! You must double-check the size and dimensions of your new Mountain Interior log furniture and be certain it will fit in the desired room as well as through entrance passages by a comfortable margin. Should delivery involve limited maneuverability due to narrow halls, doorways, stairwells, etc., Mountain Interiors will not be responsible for any damage that may result in attempting placement. If setup in your desired area cannot be reasonably accomplished, delivery and setup will only be made to an alternative, more accessible area. Please be sure to clear the desired room and delivery path of any obstacles in advance of the delivery.
Order Timing
Production time can vary based on custom orders and/or our order flow at Mountain Interiors. Some items can be ready for shipment within 30 days or even sooner. Most items take six to eight weeks to fully assemble and prepare for shipment. Other items, especially custom and select pieces may take eight to twelve weeks. If you have a specific delivery time frame, please discuss your needs with Mountain Interiors when you place your order. Mountain Interiors will not mislead you. We will not make false promises to secure an order. From time to time, through circumstances beyond our control, the projected delivery time is missed. Mountain Interiors will everything possible to expedite your order, but cannot guarantee an exact delivery day.
Delivery Notification
For all motor freight deliveries, you will be notified via telephone by the delivery service at least 24 hours prior to delivery. Mountain Interiors will include your pre-delivery contact phone number and delivery address on the bill of lading. When the freight dispatcher contacts you, please verify your delivery destination. They will arrange for an approximate time of delivery, usually within a (4) four hour period of time.
IMPORTANT! If no one is at home when delivery is attempted, you will incur a minimum re-delivery charge of $75.00 per order. Please make sure someone is at the delivery destination to receive the order.
If the delivery location is not accessible by delivery truck, such as a ski lodge with steep, icy roads, it may become necessary to choose an alternative drop-off point leaving you with the responsibility to move the items to their final destination. In some cases, remote delivery charges may apply. In this case, you will be notified prior to shipping, or please inform Mountain Interiors should you have concerns.
Order Tracking
Shipping time averages seven working days, but can take fifteen working days or longer under unusual circumstances. If delivery contact is not made approximately (10) ten working days from shipping notification, you may want to check on the transit location of your order. Please e-mail us at info@mountaininteriors.com or call us at 1-866-344-2003 with your invoice number and we will ascertain the status of your shipment.
When Your Merchandise Arrives
Please be prepared to inspect your order when it arrives. Verify that the quantity and content of the packages delivered agrees with the bill of lading. You may have to open the cartons, in the case of motor freight, to look for transit damage. Please do not sign the bill of lading until you are reasonably sure the merchandise has been delivered in good condition.
Damage in Transit
If you should discover damage, it is your responsibility to notify us immediately, 1-866-344-2003 or e-mail info@mountaininteriors.com . You must sign the bill of lading with a note describing the damage you see. Although damage claims are rare, they can happen and your products are fully insured against freight damage. We will assist you as necessary, but it is your responsibility to file a damage claim with the shipping company. Depending on the situation, and pursuant to the claims adjuster, arrangements can be made to have the damaged item(s) repaired to factory new conditions or replaced.
International Deliveries / Alaska & Hawaii
Mountain Interiors uses an export broker and routinely ships outside the lower 48 States. Please e-mail us with your destination requirements and we will quote you estimated brokerage and shipping fees. Large and/or heavy shipments to Alaska and Hawaii are typically handled by our shipping contractor on the west coast.
