Flokati Rugs have been a Greek tradition for centuries. These wool rugs originally served to keep shepherds warm during the long winter months and they now grace the floors of many of the finest homes around the world. People love Flokatis for the warmth and sense of luxury they bring to a room. Flokati rugs are available at a variety of prices. But all Flokati rugs are not created equal. We purchase our rugs from the Mazarakis family that has been producing high quality Flokati rugs for over 400 years in Greece. Our Flokati rugs are hand woven, sewn and then each rug is subjected to tremendous water pressure for 40 hours in the friction baths connected to the famous Pindos Mountains' waterfalls. There the backing swells while the pile unravels and fluffs. Each Flokati rug is hung to dry in the Greek sun and carefully inspected to assure the finest quality before it is shipped to you.
Our Flokati rugs are offered in different sizes and several earth tones to work with your rustic decor: Natural Cream, Natural Tan, Mushroom, and Cocoa. Just about any other color or size can be special ordered.
